Iris Chypre Extrait de Parfum

Since French Perfumery is not complete without an Iris-based perfume, we proudly present our first Iris based French composition.

The Elixir Attar Iris Chypre seeks to revive the old French tradition of using the highest grade iris and orris extracts to give an extremely powdery musky soft feel to the perfume. Done right, Iris is best used in chypre compositions as it makes the traditional oakmoss, vanilla, and top note citruses shine in a different light.

A velvety feeling engulfs the wearer of a perfume with a heavy dose of iris. In the case of Iris chypre, a big chunk of orris butter and iris absolutes is used in order to make the chypre as magical as magical can get.

Unlike various perfumery materials, imitating and creating Iris in a laboratory never even comes close enough to the real beauty of Iris. A mesmerizing chypre formulation that is an embodiment of French classical perfumery at its best.
